Fourth All Network Meeting (ANM-4)

May 26-29, 2010

Nearly 75 BiopSys researchers and partners participated in the 4th BiopSys All Network Meeting (ANM-4) during May 28-29, 2010.  The meeting in Toronto included BiopSys researcher talks, along with formal and informal research discussion and planning activities.  BiopSys students and postdocs presented 40 posters at two sessions.  The meeting included a biosensor platform workshop, and sessions on multidisciplinary vocabulary foundations.  James Smith (VP, Equicom Group) led a student workshop on effective communication, calling on his unique career experiences in science, technical development, and the financial industry.  ANM-4 was preceded by a two-day software training workshop led by BiopSys Board member James Pond (CTO, Lumerical Solutions).  A Bioplasmonics symposium at CSC2010 immediately followed the All Network Meeting

Students Edward Parker, Natalie Tam, and André-Pierre Blanchard-Dionne, and postdoc Ben Scott won awards for their poster presentations.
